Internship

Interns in this role earn the opportunity to learn about the financial advisory business from an equity analyst position. They will gain exposure to all aspects of wealth management and portfolio management from academia-based research, investment vehicles, data mining, analysis and regular presentations for the Portfolio Managers. In this role, it is possible to have contact with clients while discussing the portfolio – incumbents must have exceptional communicational skills as well as excellent quantitative and analytical skills. All work done at Alpha Squared Capital is done by teams therefore candidates must be a team player and work efficiently under such circumstances. The intern will work under close supervision of a portfolio manager where they will receive on the job training that will translate into a better understanding of what it will take to succeed as an analyst.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Ideally finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or engineering background (but not mandatory)
• Exceptional work ethic
• Client service experience
• Excellent communicational skills
• Academic excellence; Minimum GPA 3.5
• Fast learner and self-thinker
• Team player
• Proficient in CRM, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Attention to detail

Internship

They will gain exposure to all aspects of financial advisor role from administrative tasks, client relationship building, and client interactions. In this role, interns will assist financial advisors and may have contact with clients – they must have exceptional customer service and communicational skills. Our office works in teams; therefore, incumbents must be able to work in a team atmosphere where collaborative work is not only encouraged but a mandate. The candidate will gain exposure to sales where you will be in a support position. The intern will work under close supervision of a financial advisor and will receive on the job training that will translate into a better understanding of what is needed to succeed in the financial advisor role.
